Referrals and contact
Referrals are accepted from individuals and from health professionals. They can be made in writing, in person on the telephone, or by email (please bear in mind the risk that email is never as confidential as letter post). Clients and professionals are welcome to telephone or email with an initial enquiry in order to discuss whether sessions with me would be appropriate.

I can see clients at the following locations:
• Finchley Central. My office is within ten minutes' walk of Finchley Central station, and within two to five minutes' walk of several buses including the 82 (to Barnet and Golders Green) and the 143 (to Hendon Brent cross, East Finchley and Highgate). There is ample parking, and the practice is within easy reach of Mill Hill, Hendon, East Finchley, and Junction 2 of the M1 motorway. Address provided on booking an appointment.
• Please note: I am currently not inviting clients to meet me in person, in line with government advice with regard to reducing personal contact as far as possible, in order to protect both my clients and myself. I am currently offering assessments and therapy by skype or zoom and if you would like to explore that possibility, please get in touch with me to discuss whether this would be appropriate in your situation.
Fees must be paid immediately after each session unless we have agreed an alternative arrangement.
Fees may in some cases may be refundable by your insurance company. I am registered as a provider by several of the major insurance companies including BUPA (http://finder.bupa.co.uk/go/ms_sara_gilbert), AXA-PPP, Aviva, Pru-Health, Aviva and Cigna. Please note that some companies may require a referral from a GP or a consultant psychiatrist in order to qualify for a refund of psychologists’ fees; and in some cases there will be an excess to pay at the beginning of treatment or specified limit to the number of sessions they will fund. You should enquire with your company in advance of booking sessions.
Notice of 48 hours is required for cancellation of appointments. Appointments cancelled within 48 hours or less will be subject to the full fee.
